A Beautiful Music Report
Three years ago, the Wheaton Academy orchestra visited Angola, a maximum security state penitentiary in Louisiana, and the impact of being there and discovering what Warden Cain has done at this prison has continued in unusual ways. One of those orchestral violin students, Blythe, saw a FaceBook post earlier this year that one of the inmates knew how to play a violin, but of course didn’t have one. Well, that prompted her to make an investment in this inmate’s life. On Manny’s recent trip to Angola, Blythe’s gift went with and is now being joyfully played in prison by Pedro. Click on the YouTube video below for Blythe’s personal comments about how this happened.
