Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Gospel of Truth and Grace that evaporates FEAR – by Manny Mill
Dear Radical Prayer friends: The Day before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated he delivered his last speech to a crowd of striking sanitation workers in Memphis, TN, drawing from the familiar and famous Parable of the Good Samaritan, Luke 10:25-37, titled: “I’ve Been to the Mountain Top”!
Here it is what I want you to know: Dr. King Jr, points out to us how the Religious Leaders of the day, the Priest and the Levite (The Senior and Associate Pastors of our Day) reacted with Fear, walked away, and rejected, when confronted with the man, who was half dead, dirty, bloody, laying on the dusty road (the man, represents you and I, Jesus reminds us that we are ALL EVIL, Luke 11:13) that has been beaten and robbed by the thieves (John 10:10a), when contrasted to the 100% reversal response of Radical Love from the Samaritan (who by the way, knew that the man that was laying on the road was actually a Jew and not a Samaritan)! Here is what Dr. King Jr said:
“The first question that the Priest and Levite asked: ‘If I stop to help this man (or I add, or I welcome him/her into membership of my church), what will happen to me (or to my church)? But then the Good Samaritan came by, and he reversed the question: ‘If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?
Here is what I want you to do: Join us then for Radical Biblical, fervent, bold and persistent Prayer, tomorrow morning, every Monday, at 6:15 am, at College Church’s Commons building, 2nd floor Board Room to Pray Radically to Love Radically, hence experience the LIBERATING Biblical Gospel of Truth and Grace that welcomes with Radical Love, anyone and everyone as our Neighbors into Membership of the Church Jesus Christ purchased with His sinless and expensive Blood, regardless of what they have done or where they came from.
Come and pray that the Holy Spirit will evaporate ALL YOUR FEARS, and free you, and replace YOUR FEARS with Radical Love driven by the Truth and Grace of the Gospel, as you “CONSECRATE to God our Holy Father, so He will surprise you with Hope of His Wonders TODAY AND TOMORROW, Joshua 3:5, aleluya.
P.S. If you don’t live in our area, please go ahead and start your own Radical Prayer Meeting in your own church or home for the Greater Hallowing of our Good Father. D.L. Moody said: “Jesus did not teach His disciples to preach, but TO PRAY”. Jesus declared His House to become a House of Prayer for the Nations, Mark 11:17!!! Prayer is not one thing we do, BUT IT IS WHAT WE DO, It is who we are!!!!
